The Liquid Vitamin D3 drops are as described on the product description page. This liquid vitamin D3 supplement comes in a brown apothecary bottle with an eye dropper dispenser. The lid dropper has a tamper proof seal on it. It can be added to food, drinks or taken directly. I choose to take my daily dose directly under my tongue. Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin, that is not found naturally in many of ours foods or beverages. We do get vitamin D naturally from only 15 minutes of sun exposure to our face and hands, but many of us live in climates where the sun doesn’t shine daily or we use sunscreen to protect our skin from the harmful rays from the sun. Vitamin D is sometimes added to foods or milk products because pasteurization destroys vitamin D. HEAT, AIR and LIGHT destroy Vitamins in the foods and beverages we consume. It is often added back in as fortified or it is taken as a supplement. Vitamin D is needed for calcium absorption. Without Vitamin D we can’t absorb the mineral calcium which is needed for healthy bones and teeth. These drops are clear and have no taste, but are a bit oily because they are made with coconut oil. I love that these Vitamin D3 drops don’t contain any added artificial coloring, sugars, flavors, wheat, gluten, dairy or corn products. These are Vegetarian friendly drops. The dosage is one dropper full (400 IU-international units) and the 2 fluid ounce bottle contains 2,140 servings. I also love that they are made in the USA. I received this supplement at a discount for my honest review.
